Welcome! Right now there are just a few things to see from my sight.

First, if you're interested in traveling to Tucson, AZ, you might want to checkout Tucson.Halversen.com. Containing, The Local Couple's Guide to Tucson it's the first web site of any substance that we put together. It contains no advertising, no sponsers, nothing but our biased opinions about what's the best (and worst) things to do in Tucson.

An offshoot from that, is a little site related to Tom Mix. As some of you are aware, there is a death marker about 40 miles north of Tucson at the spot where Tom Mix died. I heard a number of conflicting stories about the demise of Tom, and this site was created out of a desire to learn the truth. It also was a nice exercise in learning about the historical resources that are available to the general puplic here in Tucson.

Another offshoot of the Local Couple's Guide to Tucson, is the Tucson, Then and Now site. This site contains about 60 'then and now' type photos of downtown Tucson. And more will be added in the near future. I have had a lot of fun with this particular site.

Just for fun there is a small site dedicated to advertising postcards. I had found these at a antique shop here in Tucson, and thought that I'd share them with the public at large.

Also for fun, there is the two pages dedicated to a cottage in California. We had stayed there on a recent trip, found it to be less that ideal, so we present a few photographic highlights.

Finally, there is the Extinction of the Week. Every weekend, I list a plant or animal that is either extinct or missing in the United States. It is a small attempt at bringing one of our more unflattering legacies into the limelight.
